New Milestone for Citi Bike: 70,000+ Trips in One Day

Citi Bike hit a new milestone yesterday, July 26, 2017. With 70,286 trips in a single day, (90% of those taken by annual members) Citi Bike is proving yet again that bike share is a powerful part of New York’s transit network.

The busiest bike in the Citi Bike fleet saw 36 trips yesterday, weaving its way from DUMBO in Brooklyn all the way to the Upper East Side.

The journey of one Citi Bike. On July 26, 2017 one Citi Bike took 36 trips, weaving from between Lower Manhattan to DUMBO to the Upper East Side and back to Brooklyn.

The previous single day record was 69,758 trips on October 19, 2016.

Citi Bike served 14 million trips in 2016 alone and has served over 44 million trips since launch.
