Motivate at the Global Public Transport Summit in Montreal
Motivate is thrilled to participate in the renowned UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Montreal this week, where we’re showcasing the latest innovations in bike share and our CEO, Jay Walder, is participating in two sessions, one specifically about bicycling and transit, and the second on enabling innovation for urban transport.
Esteemed panelists in the latter session included Alain Flausch, Secretary General of the UITP, from Brussels; Jeremy YAP, Deputy Chief Executive of Public Transport, Policy & Planning for the Land Transport Authority, from Singapore; Ed Reiskin, Director of Transportation, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency from California; and Bernt Reitan Jenssen, Ruter As CEO, from Oslo.
This year Motivate and the newest member of our family, 8D Technologies, are sharing a booth with Montreal’s bike share system, BIXI, powered by 8D’s technology. On display and attracting many eyes is our shiny new Ford GoBike, a specially-designed bike for San Fransisco’s terrain that is coming to its bike share fleet this spring. Thanks to our partnership with Ford Motor Company, that system will soon expand ten-fold.
The annual UITP Summit is a platform for the leading voices in the international public transit community, and a rare opportunity for thought leaders in the public and private sectors to convene to share strategic visions and trade ideas for improving mobility.
