Alta Bicycle Share offers its congratulations to Bruno Rodi, the successful bidder on the public bid to purchase Montreal-based PBSC, the supplier for Alta’s bike share systems in New York City, Chicago, Bay Area, Chattanooga, Columbus, Washington DC, Boston, Toronto, and Melbourne, Australia.

The purchase follows PBSC’s January bankruptcy filing. The deal is currently being finalized between Mr. Rodi and the court-appointed firm in Montreal that oversaw the selection process.

Given its plans to expand current systems as well as to launch new systems, Alta is looking forward to meeting with the new owners and discussing the path moving forward. Alta and 8D Technologies, the original software provider for PBSC equipment, have also formed a strategic alliance called Acadia Bike Share Systems to provide an independent line of equipment and software.
