Motivate has integrated Apple Pay into its award-winning mobile bike share application the company announced today. The feature is available  New York for the Citi Bike app, San Francisco Bay Area’s Ford GoBike program, the Boston area’s Hubway and the D.C. area’s Capital Bikeshare.

“Apple Pay makes it faster and easier for people to get started with bike share,” said Frank Hebbert, Director of Digital Product for Motivate. “It’s just one of the many ways our popular mobile app encourages more people to get going.”

Motivate’s mobile app is hugely popular with hundreds of thousands of monthly users across seven bike share systems including: Citi Bike, Ford GoBike, Capital Bikeshare, Hubway, Bixi, NiceRide, and Cyacle.

Recent upgrades to the app have made buying a pass and signing up for a bike share account quicker and easier than ever.
